Buffalos (formerly known as Buffalo Boots) is an alternative rock band formed by Omer Hershman and Sivan Bella Leshed in October 2007.

The band combines different varied influences and refines them into a unique, different and new utterance.

The band's debut album, simply called Buffalos, which is being released these days, is a sober observation of the urban reality of its creators.

The album cover visually translates the cultural and personal contexts that exist in the lyrics, along with the unique melodies (that comes from the alternative rock, folk, blues and cabaret areas) turn the songs into a vague and hazy picture.

The band's music is influenced by various artists and bands such as- PJ Harvey, Low, Mark Lanegan, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Calexico, Belle and Sebastian, Tom Waits, John Frusciante, Yo La tengo, Queens Of the Stoneage, the Dresden Dolls, Love, Vincent Gallo, Big Lazy, Wilco, the Arcade Fire, Blonde Redhead, Op8 and many more.

Omer Hershman, a well-known figure in the Israeli alternative scene, known as the guitarist and writer/composer in the bands Lady Macbeth and Jet Sam and also as a guitarist in Panic Ensemble, received a few lyrics from Sivan, whom it's her first project, with the intention of composing them.

The collaboration turned out to be extremely productive and in a short period of time they realized they have enough songs for an album. They decided to record a few
sketches at home using basic equipment. what started as a project of two people became a full band with its unique and matchless sound.

The sketches found their ways to Mark Kramer, an appreciated producer/musician in the American indie scene (worked with artists such as Robert Wyatt, Low, Daniel Johnston and many more, including the Israeli Monotonix) who decided to take on the mixing part of the album.

The other band members are Ran Jacobovitz on Drums (played with Hershman in Lady Macbethand Jet sam and also in his acoustic trio), Eyal Dayan on guitar and Dan Carpman on Bass.

Beside them, also took part in the album the appreciated musicians Yehu Yaron (PanicEnsemble, Ruth Dolores Weiss) on Double Bass, Dirk Kunesch (Panic Ensemble) on Trumpet,
Boris Martzinovsky on Accordion and Karni Postel on Cello.

Simultaneously to the album release in its physical format in stores, the albumis available for free download through the band's website www.buffalosband.com.
