John Prusinski grew up in the Middle East and Europe before moving back to the States, absorbing a plethora of world cultures and musical styles.  Judy Eddy moved from New Jersey to San Francisco, where her soaring vocals fronted the band Periphery.  The two played together in the short-lived but regionally popular Yardsale Crisis before forming Deafened By Love with drummer Ira Grable and Scott Marks (former bassist with Texas-based Transona Five).
