ESO Live - 7/22/09 - Self Released  !!!Free Download!!! Only Available on ESO's official website!!!!!!

Sometimes not saying a word makes for a clear message and ESO knows exactly how to make that happen with their eclectic brand of instrumental music. A fusion of rock, jazz and many other elements makes for ear candy that you will be sure to enjoy if you can appreciate fine musicianship!

Bio:

After more than six years playing together in various incarnations, Empty Space Orchestra has honed its personal brand of instrumental space rock.  Together the band weaves a  melodic wall of sound into a explosive yet comforting  musical experience.

What started as a loosely formed local instrumental jazz-rock project has evolved into one of Bend's most promising bands and one that's at the forefront of instrumental innovation in the Northwest.

Empty Space Orchestra hooked audiences over the past year with groove based instrumental but recently revamped its lineup - adding guitar to the already full sound - and with that change brought a different more challenging sound.

Anchored by furious drumming of Lindsey Elias and the complex bass lines of Patrick Pearsall, Empty Space incorporates the precision of jazz into a largely rock sound. Although instrumental, the band is intensely melodic, thanks to the work of guitarist Shane Thomas and keyboard mastery of Keith O’Dell.

The sound is often tough to categorize but hasn't been hard to market here in the Northwest, as evidenced by the band's rapidly growing following. "A lot of times people think they need to follow a set of rules to get people to like them. But we just do what we want and people seem to like it," Thomas told The Source Weekly before the release of ESO's new album Big Bang.

Already working on material for a forthcoming follow up to that album, Empty Space's recent tracks offer an even more complex approach to instrumental fusion than their debut effort and should even further the band's appeal.
