Through the use of an acoustic guitar, singer/songwriter Nate Currin deftly fuses Rock, Blues and Folk music into a style that is all his own!

Currin, currently based in Atlanta, GA, is a restless globetrotter who has lived in numerous places across the United States from the East to the West Coast. “I do a lot of writing on the road,” he explains, “as new places seem to really inspire me.” He also spent a number of summers backpacking through Europe and the Middle East.

Currin released his debut EP, Another Long September, in 2006 as The Nate Currin Band. The released was followed by 2007’s full-length The Darkest Sea, a collection of cloud-with-a-silver-lining tales of life via melancholic songwriting and cryptic lyrics.

His latest EP, Songs for Magnolia, continues the tradition he started with his debut but approaches his material with a focus on a stronger lyrical standpoint. “My music tends to be positively focused,” he says, “and, being a person of faith, I like to portray that at times as well.” His reflective, sometimes cryptic lyrics, sweeping, melancholic piano-style and somber guitar-work recall the sound of luminaries such as Iron & Wine, The Counting Crows, Van Morrison, Elton John, Leonard Cohen and Elliott Smith.

“I am just someone who has been through a lot of crap, but persevered and continued on. Instead of letting the bad things in life overtake me, I have channeled those things into songs that inspire and motivate others.”

Nate Currin is set and ready to motivate more people across the U.S. as his music continues to grow and take hold.
