This band has an eclectic and irresistable sound! That qualified them and reserved their spot as our artist of the week!
Warning: Cataclysmic events may give rise to divine conjunctions such as this... Nichole Halleen & The Projects...an all star cast of Seattle dwellers brought together solely by their individual wills to survive upon riding the waves of musical endeavors. The goal - to make ripples across the galaxy.
Dwelling from the damp depths of Seattle, a "soultry" voice surfaces. Along comes a fresh delivery of colorful sounds with inspiring lyrical content that is motivating and devastating to the "mainstream" movement. Unique vocal stylings swagger thru the pockets of chunked out grooves....innovative guitar riffs and surreal horns meld with tasty drum loops and fat bass lines iced with electronic vibes.....sounds kinda like it's drippin' on ya.....
Nichole Halleen & THE PROJECTS self-titled LP has been released as of July 17th, 2009 with a successful CD Release show at the prestigious SHOWBOX at the Market. The creation of this album was made with the intent to rapidly spread our sound...We made it happen independently all the way and are blessed to have recorded at the one and only Robert Lang Studios in Shoreline, Wa. Got to give it up to our engineer Donn Devore for being wicked swift!!! Overall the album sounds FAT and juicy!!!
We believe in our sound and stand by our mission to spread it. Within six months of coming together we have played some of the hottest venues in Seattle, recorded a full length album, and have been overwhelmed with positive feed back and joy, and continue to keep building our fan base with more shows and promotion.
Members of Nichole Halleen & THE PROJECTS intentionally stay disconnected from the so called "rat race" and continue to make and seek out bigger and bigger moves to spread our sound on an international level, to inspire and create a new feel in the fore-front of this music industry.
