Weekend Nights

Coming to you on September 7th (a weekend night, in fact), is a fresh new track from Swedish rock band, Spiders, from their upcoming album Flash Point. Formed in early 2010, the band performs in and holds up to their image of a late 60’s/ early 70’s rock band. They have a “garage punk rock” sound that transcends the decades.
A very cool thing this band does is release their songs through digital and vinyl (500 copies only of the 7" version). The old and the new, they fit into both categories nicely.
Lead vocalist Ann-Sofie Hoyles has a great voice-for this genre, especially. It’s enjoyable and harmonious with the music, yet has enough of a hard edge with a little grit to suit the garage sound. “Weekend Nights” is a fast-paced, high-energy track that’s sure to get you pumped for Flash Point. The guitar work is on point, especially the solos, and the drums do just what they should without being overbearing.
On the B-side is “Lies,” a track Spiders are covering by Swedish garage punk rocker band, The Strollers. It is another enjoyable heart-pumping, rockin’ track which is available only on this single’s release.
Here are two more great tracks from Spiders for your listening enjoyment. By the sound of it, their new album definitely won’t disappoint!
