The Doors
Morrison Hotel

How can you forget a song like “Roadhouse Blues”? As a matter of fact how is it possible to ever discount the continued impact of a band like The Doors after all these years? Their influence remains apparent in much of the new music you hear today.
Classic albums like Morrison Hotel continue to sound unique and separate from everything else available for music lovers to consume and it takes specialty labels like Audio Fidelity to give such treasures as this recording the treatment it deserves.
The 24 karat gold Morrison Hotel CD comes housed in a quality slip cover with the original artwork of the album included. As with all of the Audio Fidelity remasters the sound is excellent and makes listening to the album an entirely new experience again.
This resissue effort lets the music flow through your speakers quite nicely and helps to make Morrison’s voice perfectly appealing for each track mood and atmosphere. If you ever listen to a Morrison track as a standalone recording, just the singing without the music, it is quite a surprise and it will make you realize just how important the band behind him was. Never is this factor more apparent than on Morrison Hotel, one of the best Doors releases in their catalog.
“Waiting For The Sun” (taken from the 1968 release of the same name) is a brilliant track and for these ears puts The Doors music into proper perspective. Tracks like that and “Touch Me” were pivotal songs that helped to create the identity of The Doors sound.
As with The Soft Parade reissue this comes with two bonus tracks taken from the 40th Anniversary archives and it sounds absolutely stunning. This reissue is highly recommended to any music fan and a must for any Doors fan of course.
