Brian D. Connett - Drums
Born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1971, Brian began playing the drums at the age of 4, following his father's footsteps as a drummer. Throughout his childhood he had spent much of his time learning and listening to records his father would play on the stereo in his parents' basement, taking in bluegrass, dixieland, rock 'n roll and country music.
By the late 80's Brian began to gig locally in Des Moines - hitting the blues scene and making a name for himself by the age of 22. Holding steady house gigs at Blues On Grand (then called Grand Avenue Lounge) and being named as Iowa's 'first-call' drummer, Brian had played with many blues bands such as The Soul Searchers, which was the first blues band he had joined, along with The Bobcats, Bob Pace and the Blues Burners, Chicago Rick Lussie's Blues Band, The Delta Kings and fill-in spots for The Greasefire Horns, The Landsharks and other local bands.
After performing with Iowa's own blues band, Bob Dorr and The Blue Band (2002-03), Brian moved to Austin, TX. There he worked as full-time drummer for Rob Roy Parnell (the brother of grammy nominating guitarist Lee Roy Parnell), along side with bassist Larry Lang from the 80's era of Delbert McClinton. Touring Texas and the gulf for 2 years, the decision to move to Kansas City became reality and would lead him to blues harmonica great, Lee McBee.
'Talk Dirty', a Poison tribute band in Kansas City, became Brian's last full-time project in 2007........until now!.....Brians style of playing was an instant match with SNSB because of his versatility in all areas and genres of music.....Scotty said "..I auditioned 7 drummers for SUPER NATURAL SOUL BROTHER....and Brian was the only one who when asked to play Gene Krupa...he played it instantly....when asked to play alternative style...he played it instantly....when asked to play hard-rock..again spot on....most important....when asked to improvise.....his ability to play counter-point against standard rhythm at the same time...was GREAT.....SNSB is very happy he's on board!
Matt Kesler - Bass
Matt Kesler has been a veteran of the Kansas City and national music scene since the 1980s and still plays out with a band called THE DOO-DADS ...{A KIDS-COOL ROCK-N-ROLL BAND}...and The Pedal Jets....Matt joined SUPER NATURAL SOUL BROTHER after hearing Brian and Scotty warming up in the studio to record......all Matt had to say after listening for 30 minutes was...."...hey I was listening to you guys and I pulled my bass out and started playing...made me want to play along...I could get into playing bass for the band"...SNSB was very happy with that!
Paul Malinowski - Midi Sequencer
Paul Malinowski has played and recorded either as a producer and/or musician with many musical groups including SHINER...SEASON TO RISK....and many others.....Paul remains very active in recording-performing and developing emerging artists....and keeping the creative juices flowing...to learn more about Paul......just google him.....SNSB was very happy he ended up playing on the EP !
